UCSD CHD Postoctoral Program

The Center for Human Development also offers funded postdoctoral positions for individuals who are interested in working in collaborative, cross-disciplinary, developmentally-oriented research in areas other than Schooling & Development. Through these positions, postdoctoral fellows work on projects that unite the work of two of our affiliated faculty/researchers in exploring a common theme. Our affiliated faculty and researchers approach development from a diverse range of perspectives such as anthropology, history, neurology, socio-cultural psychology, behavioral genetics, linguistics, and education. By working on projects that incorporate aspects of several of these domains, postdoctoral fellows will have the opportunity to participate in innovative research that makes a contribution to the field larger than the sum of its individual parts.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please identify two faculty members/researchers with whom you would like to work. Please see our CHD Affiliated Faculty page for faculty biographies and links to faculty web pages. Please refer to our CHD Research page for descriptions of developmentally-oriented research conducted by our affiliated faculty, with links to affiliated laboratories when available. Postdoctoral researchers also participate in our weekly CHD seminar and have the opportunity to attend graduate level courses in our affiliated departments.
